  • 1 tablespoon Honey Adjust to taste.
For Serving
  • Ice Ice Use frozen mango cubes for added flavor.

Equipment

  • medium saucepan
  • Fine mesh sieve
  • Pitcher

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by bringing 2 cups of water to a rolling boil in a medium saucepan. Once boiling, remove from heat and add your black tea bags or loose leaf tea. Allow the mixture to steep for approximately 10 minutes.
  2. While the tea is steeping, heat another pot with 2 cups of water on medium heat. Add diced ripe mango pieces and bring to a gentle boil. Reduce heat and let simmer for 10 minutes, mashing the mango occasionally for a smooth puree.
  3. After the mango has simmered, strain the puree using a fine mesh sieve to extract all the juice. Pour this mango puree into the pitcher with brewed tea.
  4. Add honey to the mixture and stir well to combine. Start with one tablespoon, then taste and adjust sweetness to preference.
  5. Allow the Mango Iced Tea to cool to room temperature for about 10-15 minutes. Serve over ice in tall glasses.
