Step-by-Step Instructions
- Begin by bringing 2 cups of water to a rolling boil in a medium saucepan. Once boiling, remove from heat and add your black tea bags or loose leaf tea. Allow the mixture to steep for approximately 10 minutes.
- While the tea is steeping, heat another pot with 2 cups of water on medium heat. Add diced ripe mango pieces and bring to a gentle boil. Reduce heat and let simmer for 10 minutes, mashing the mango occasionally for a smooth puree.
- After the mango has simmered, strain the puree using a fine mesh sieve to extract all the juice. Pour this mango puree into the pitcher with brewed tea.
- Add honey to the mixture and stir well to combine. Start with one tablespoon, then taste and adjust sweetness to preference.
- Allow the Mango Iced Tea to cool to room temperature for about 10-15 minutes. Serve over ice in tall glasses.
