Cooking Steps
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and brown it for about 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle in the taco seasoning, mixing thoroughly until the beef is evenly coated and aromatic, about another 5 minutes.
- Stir in the refried beans along with a splash of water. Mix well until everything is combined and warm, about 2-3 minutes.
- On a rimmed baking sheet, distribute a layer of tortilla chips. Spoon the beef and bean mixture on top.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese and sliced pickled jalapeños over the nachos.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes until the cheese melts and edges of the chips turn golden brown.
- Remove from oven, add diced tomatoes, red onion, avocado, sour cream, and chopped cilantro on top, then serve.
