Method

Step-by-Step Instructions for TATER TOT MINI CHEESEBURGER BITES
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and spread the tater tots evenly on a baking sheet. Bake according to package instructions, usually around 20-25 minutes, until they are golden brown and crispy. Once done, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly while preparing the patties.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and dried minced onion. Mix gently until just combined, then form the mixture into small patties that are slightly larger than the tater tots.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a little oil to prevent sticking. Once hot, add the patties and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side. In the last minute of cooking, top each patty with a slice of cheddar cheese and cover the skillet briefly to allow the cheese to melt.
  4. Assemble your bites by taking one baked tater tot, spreading a thin layer of ketchup on top, placing a cheesy burger patty on it, adding a dill pickle chip, and capping it with another tater tot. Use a toothpick to hold it together.
  5. Sprinkle sesame seeds or chopped chives over the assembled bites if desired, arrange them on a platter, and serve warm.

Notes

For best results, ensure tater tots are freshly baked and avoid overworking the meat when forming patties. Reheat leftovers in the oven for optimal crispiness.
