Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare two 8-inch round cake pans by generously buttering and flouring them.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the cake flour and baking powder until well combined.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat together the salted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Gradually add eggs one at a time and mix in lime zest and lime juice.
  4. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet batter, alternating with whole milk, mixing just until combined.
  5. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans and bake for about 25 minutes.
