  • ½ cup brown sugar

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Topping
  • 2-3 pieces ripe bananas Tip: Fresh bananas preferred; frozen can be used if thawed and drained.
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch nutmeg optional

Method
 

Directions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients.
  3. Stir in the melted unsalted butter, milk, and vanilla extract into the dry mixture.
  4. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish and pour the batter into the dish.
  5. Slice ripe bananas and arrange them evenly over the top of the batter.
  6. Combine ground cinnamon and nutmeg, then sprinkle over the bananas.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cobbler to cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
