Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Gather your baking dish and cooking equipment.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Crumble and set aside.
  3. Sauté the chopped onions and diced mushrooms in the same skillet for about 5 minutes until the onions are translucent.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, milk, and Parmesan cheese. Add the crumbled bacon and cooled sautéed onions and mushrooms. Mix gently.
  5. Add eggs, Worcestershire sauce, and 1 tablespoon of ketchup, along with garlic powder, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until evenly distributed.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish, shape into a loaf, and top with remaining ketchup.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 60-70 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  8. Let the meatloaf rest for about 10 minutes before slicing and serving with your favorite sides.
