- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Gather your baking dish and cooking equipment.
- In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Crumble and set aside.
- Sauté the chopped onions and diced mushrooms in the same skillet for about 5 minutes until the onions are translucent.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, milk, and Parmesan cheese. Add the crumbled bacon and cooled sautéed onions and mushrooms. Mix gently.
- Add eggs, Worcestershire sauce, and 1 tablespoon of ketchup, along with garlic powder, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until evenly distributed.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish, shape into a loaf, and top with remaining ketchup.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 60-70 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Let the meatloaf rest for about 10 minutes before slicing and serving with your favorite sides.
