Step-by-Step Instructions for Quick Asian Ground Beef Noodles
  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add 250g of ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until browned.
  2. Stir in 1 teaspoon of grated ginger and 2 tablespoons of soy sauce into the beef. Cook for an additional 10-15 seconds, stirring continuously.
  3. Add 1 cup of water and 2 teaspoons of white pepper. Bring to a gentle boil, cover, and simmer for about 10 minutes.
  4. In a separate pot, bring salted water to boil. Add 120g of vermicelli noodles and cook according to package instructions, usually around 2-4 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  5. Mix 2 tablespoons of corn flour with ½ cup of cold water until smooth. Stir into the beef sauce while it's still bubbling, cooking for another 2-3 minutes.
  6. Fold the drained noodles into the beef mixture and serve garnished with 2 tablespoons of chopped spring onion.
