Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by thinly slicing 1 pound of beef against the grain into bite-sized strips.
  2. If time allows, marinate the beef in a mix of 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 2 minced garlic cloves, and 1 teaspoon grated ginger for 15–30 minutes.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce, 1 tablespoon sesame oil, 1 tablespoon honey, and the remaining minced garlic and grated ginger.
  4. Place a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat, adding 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.
  5. Once the oil shimmers, add the marinated beef in a single layer and sear without stirring for 2–3 minutes.
  6. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
  7. Using the same pan, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil and toss in sliced bell pepper, julienned carrot, and broccoli florets, stir-frying for 3–5 minutes.
  8. Add snap peas into the pan, continuing to stir-fry for an additional 2–3 minutes.
  9. Return the cooked beef to the pan and pour in your prepared sauce, tossing everything together and cooking for another 1–2 minutes.
  10. Distribute the Beef Stir Fry onto plates or bowls, garnishing with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
