Recipe Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add 1 tablespoon of butter or olive oil. Allow the butter to melt completely and bubble, which should take about 1 minute.
- Generously season both sides of your salmon fillets with salt and pepper. Place the fillets into the hot skillet, skin-side up. Cook for 3-5 minutes, until golden brown.
- Carefully flip the salmon fillets using a spatula and lower the heat slightly. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until salmon reaches an internal temperature of 145°F.
- Remove the salmon from the skillet and tent loosely with aluminum foil.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium-low and add orange juice, honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic. If desired, add cornstarch and whisk until well combined.
- Let the glaze cook for 30-60 seconds until slightly thickened.
- Return the cooked salmon to the skillet and spoon the orange glaze over the top to coat them evenly.
- Transfer the Orange Glazed Salmon to serving plates, drizzling any remaining glaze from the skillet over each fillet.
