  • 1 medium Onion chopped, substitute shallots if desired
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced, or garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Ginger grated, or powdered ginger
  • 2 stalks Green Onions for garnish
For the Sauces
  • 3 tablespoons Soy Sauce or tamari for gluten-free
  • 2 tablespoons Oyster Sauce optional, consider mushroom sauce for vegetarian
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil or olive oil
Seasonings
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Salt low-sodium version if preferred
For Garnishing
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds for a crunchy finish

Cooking Steps
  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat for about 2 minutes until hot.
  2. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart. Cook for 5-7 minutes until browned, drain excess fat if desired.
  3. Stir in the chopped onions and cook for another 3-4 minutes until translucent and fragrant.
  4. Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Toss in the shredded cabbage and cook for about 5 minutes until slightly wilted but still crunchy.
  6. Drizzle in the soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), and sesame oil. Season with black pepper and salt, stir well.
  7. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until cabbage is tender but still crisp. Serve hot garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.
