- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
- In a bowl, combine the mashed banana, maple syrup or honey, oil or water, and optional vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth.
- In another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt. Whisk until evenly combined.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just blended.
- Fill the greased donut pan about three-quarters full with the batter.
- Bake for approximately 8 minutes or until golden brown. A toothpick should come out clean.
- Let cool for about 5 minutes, then carefully release the donuts from the pan.
