Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare three round cake pans by greasing them with butter or non-stick spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well blended.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, whole milk, and vanilla extract until smooth and frothy.
- Carefully pour the wet ingredients into the bowl of dry ingredients and gently fold them together until just combined.
- Divide the batter evenly into three bowls. Fold melted chocolate into one bowl, pureed strawberries into another, and leave the last bowl plain.
- Pour each colored batter into its prepared cake pan, smoothing the tops with a spatula. Bake for 25–30 minutes.
- Remove the cakes from the oven and let them cool in the pans for about 10 minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
- When the layers are completely cool, stack the chocolate layer on a serving plate and spread frosting on top, followed by the strawberry layer and then the vanilla layer.
- Add decorative elements as desired and slice to serve.

Notes
Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature for better mixing. Allow cakes to cool completely before frosting to maintain layers.
