Step-by-Step Instructions
- Start by boiling water until it reaches a gentle simmer, about 190°F. Measure 1 tablespoon of dried butterfly pea flowers and steep them in 1 cup of hot water for 5–7 minutes.
- Strain out the flowers and allow the tea to cool to room temperature.
- In a separate container, combine ⅓ cup of ice-cold whole milk or your chosen dairy-free alternative with 1 tablespoon of vanilla syrup. Blend vigorously for about 10 seconds until smooth and foamy.
- Fill a tall glass with ice cubes. Pour in the cooled blue tea until the glass is halfway full.
- Carefully spoon or pour the vanilla cold foam over the blue tea to create a layered effect.
- Serve as is to maintain the beautiful layers or stir gently for a blended mixture.

Notes
Use fresh, vibrant dried butterfly pea flowers for the best color and flavor. Adjust the sweetness to your liking and try adding a squeeze of lemon for a color change.
