Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Slice four 1/2-inch pieces from a sourdough loaf to create the base.
  2. Layer camembert cheese on two slices, adding thyme, lemon zest, and fresh ground pepper.
  3. Thinly slice honeycrisp apple and layer over the camembert.
  4. Top with two slices of sharp cheddar cheese, covering completely.
  5. Press the two camembert slices down onto the cheddar slices, securing the sandwich.
  6. Preheat a non-stick skillet and drizzle oil, cooking the sandwich cheddar side down.
  7. Cook for 3-4 minutes until golden brown, pressing gently with a spatula.
  8. Flip and cook the other side for another 3-4 minutes until golden.
  9. Remove, slice in half, and serve warm.
