For the Broth
  • 4 cups Fish Stock or Water
  • Salt to taste

  • 1 loaf Crusty Bread

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Heat a large pot over medium heat. Add olive oil, then sauté chopped onions and minced garlic for about 5–7 minutes until golden.
  2. Stir in diced bell peppers and cook for an additional 3–4 minutes until they soften.
  3. Sprinkle in the smoked paprika, diced tomatoes, and your choice of fish stock or water. Season with salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper. Bring to a gentle simmer for about 10 minutes.
  4. Add pieces of fresh river fish to the pot. Simmer for an additional 8–10 minutes, or until the fish is opaque.
  5. Ladle the soup into warm bowls, serve with crusty bread for dipping.
