Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 225°F (110°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  3. Add the cream of tartar and whisk until soft peaks form (2-3 minutes).
  4. Increase speed to high, gradually adding sugar, and whisk until stiff, glossy peaks form (8-10 minutes).
  5. Gently fold in the vanilla extract and green gel food coloring.
  6. Pipe tree shapes onto the prepared parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes without opening the oven door.
  8. Turn off the oven and leave the meringues inside with the door slightly ajar for 30 minutes.
