- Wash strawberries thoroughly, remove tops, and slice in half. Combine with sugar in blender and puree until smooth.
- Set aside ½ cup of the strawberry puree in a bowl for later use.
- Chill mixing bowl and beaters for 10 minutes. Whip heavy cream in chilled bowl until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold remaining strawberry puree into whipped cream until just combined.
- Layer reserved strawberry puree at the bottom of dessert glasses, then spoon mousse on top. Cover and chill for at least 1 hour.
- Serve chilled, garnished with fresh strawberry slices or mint.

For best flavor, consume mousse within one day. Freezing is not recommended as texture may be affected upon thawing.
