Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Wash strawberries thoroughly, remove tops, and slice in half. Combine with sugar in blender and puree until smooth.
  2. Set aside ½ cup of the strawberry puree in a bowl for later use.
  3. Chill mixing bowl and beaters for 10 minutes. Whip heavy cream in chilled bowl until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold remaining strawberry puree into whipped cream until just combined.
  5. Layer reserved strawberry puree at the bottom of dessert glasses, then spoon mousse on top. Cover and chill for at least 1 hour.
  6. Serve chilled, garnished with fresh strawberry slices or mint.
