Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and gather your oven-proof dishes.
- Lightly butter four individual oven-proof dessert dishes and sprinkle 4 teaspoons of castor sugar in each.
- Distribute ½ cup of fresh blueberries evenly in each dish.
- Blend cream cheese with remaining castor sugar, flour, vanilla extract, and one egg until smooth. Gradually add remaining eggs and milk until creamy.
- Pour the batter into each dish over the blueberries, filling them about 1 inch from the top.
- Sprinkle the zest of one lemon over the batter in each dish.
- Bake for about 20 minutes or until tops are golden brown and puffy, checking with a toothpick for doneness.
- Allow to cool slightly on a wire rack and dust with powdered sugar before serving warm.
