Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the pork belly slices and sauté for 5–7 minutes until golden.
  2. Create the sauce by combining soy sauce, rice wine, sugar, water, and ginger in the same pan. Simmer covered for 20–50 minutes.
  3. Raise heat to high and uncover the saucepan. Reduce liquid for 5–10 minutes until it thickens. Ensure even coating of the pork.
  4. Remove from heat and serve the caramelized pork belly slices with rice, in wraps, or burgers.
