For the Sauce
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream Light alternatives available.
  • 1 cup Parmesan Cheese Pecorino Romano or nutritional yeast can be used for dairy-free.
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun Seasoning Adjust to taste.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Use for sautéing.
For the Finish
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust to personal preference.
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper Adjust to taste.
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Parsley For garnish.

Method
 

Directions
  1. Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, add penne pasta, and cook for 10-12 minutes until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Sauté the Chicken: In a skillet, heat olive oil, add seasoned chicken, and cook for 4-5 minutes until golden and cooked through. Keep warm.
  3. Cook the Shrimp: In the same skillet, add more olive oil if necessary, cook shrimp for 2-3 minutes until pink and opaque. Remove and keep warm.
  4. Sauté Sausage and Veggies: Add more olive oil to the skillet, sauté sausage for 2 minutes, then add peppers, onion, and garlic for 4 minutes until tender.
  5. Create the Sauce: Reduce heat, add heavy cream, simmer for 2-3 minutes, then mix in Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Combine the Ingredients: Add chicken and shrimp back to the skillet, mix in the cooked pasta, tossing until coated and heated through for about 1-2 minutes.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat, sprinkle with parsley, and serve warm.
