- In a medium skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon strips until crispy, about 6-8 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Crack the eggs in, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook until whites are set, about 3-4 minutes.
- Toast the slices of whole grain bread until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
- Spread a layer of mayonnaise on one side of each toasted bread slice.
- Layer fresh ingredients on the first slice: lettuce, tomato, and crispy bacon.
- Place the second slice on top with mayo side down, spread avocado on top.
- Stack the cooked eggs on top of the avocado and add cheddar cheese.
- Place the final slice on top, mayo side down, and gently press down.
- Secure with toothpicks and slice diagonally to serve.
