Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Gather all your ingredients. Trim excess fat from the beef steak and cut it into bite-sized pieces. Rinse and halve the baby potatoes.
  2. In a skillet, melt 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté gently for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Transfer the sautéed garlic and buttery mixture into the crock pot. Layer the halved baby potatoes and steak pieces on top, ensuring even distribution.
  4. Sprinkle dried thyme, dried rosemary, salt and pepper to taste over the meat and potatoes.
  5. Pour 1 cup of beef broth and 2 tablespoons of soy sauce into the crock pot, stirring gently to combine.
  6. Cover and set to cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  7. Check the steak bites for tenderness. Stir in an additional tablespoon of butter before serving if desired.
  8. Scoop into bowls and garnish with freshly chopped herbs if liked. Serve warm with sides.
