Preparation Steps
  1. Press the tofu to remove excess moisture, weighing it down and letting it sit for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Cut the pressed tofu into ¾-inch cubes and coat them evenly with cornstarch.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet and fry the tofu cubes in batches for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Prepare the sauce by mixing soy sauce, maple syrup, sesame oil, rice vinegar, minced garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes.
  5. Add the sauce to the crispy tofu in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until it thickens.
  6. Cook the rice according to the package instructions and steam the edamame.
  7. Assemble bowls with rice, crispy tofu, steamed edamame, and sliced avocado.
