Step-by-Step Instructions

  3. Stuff the cavity with garlic, rosemary or thyme, and lemon, then tie the legs with kitchen string.
  4. Place the chicken breast side up in a baking dish and roast for approximately 1 hour 20-30 minutes, basting halfway through.
  5. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before carving.
  6. For air fryer variation, preheat to 360°F (182°C) and cook for 50-60 minutes, flipping halfway through.
