  1. Begin by gently patting the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel to ensure a crispy exterior.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine 1 tablespoon olive oil, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon paprika, ½ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon black pepper, ½ teaspoon onion powder, and ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (if using). Mix well until all the dry ingredients are evenly coated in oil.
