- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken breasts for 2-3 minutes on each side.
- In your slow cooker, combine cream of chicken soup, dry ranch seasoning mix, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth.
- Add the seared or raw chicken breasts into the sauce mixture, cover and cook on LOW for 6-7 hours or on HIGH for 3-4 hours.
- Once cooked, shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker with two forks and stir into the sauce.
- Stir in sour cream until fully combined and smooth, and adjust seasoning if necessary.
