Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (204°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine cubed butternut squash and diced Gala apples. Add cinnamon, vanilla extract, and brown sugar, tossing until coated.
  3. Sprinkle salt and black pepper over the mixture, mixing thoroughly.
  4. Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish. Dot with butter, cover with foil, and bake for 15 minutes.
  5. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with raisins, dried cranberries, and pecans, toss gently, cover, and return to the oven for another 15 minutes.
  6. Bake for an additional 15 minutes until the squash is tender and lightly browned.
  7. Stir gently before serving warm.
